  1. Formulation and modernization of national policies and regulations on information and communication technology and providing technical assistance to various ministries/ departments and agencies related to information and communication technology;
  2. Implementation with recommendations of the National Task Force on Information and Communication Technology;

To provide necessary assistance and grants for conducting research, development, dissemination in various sectors of information and communication technology, to carry out necessary information technology surveys, research and development activities and to provide services and funding by the concerned agencies/institutions, private IT and communication technology organizations/societies and take initiative;
